A People of Grace

A People of Grace from Derek Ouellette on Vimeo.

This was a sermon I delivered at the Devonwood Community Church of the Nazarene some time back in August 2009. Due to requests by different people I have posted the video on this site.

My hope and prayer – of course – is that we Christians would begin to take seriously our call to “reflect” the “glory” of Christ in this world by reflecting God’s character (2 Cor. 3:17-18; cf. Gen. 1:26). I think that one aspect of this call which has been seriously neglected is that part of God’s character which reaches out to the underserving, the term for this is grace.

Sometimes we Christians have been too quick to judge each other for not living up to our standards, when we ourselves are in constant need of God’s grace since we fall short of his standards every day. Let us reflect this grace which God has extended towards us, to others, so that we too may fulfill our calling and be A People of Grace.
